(WGNO) – Tropical depression number nine has formed in the Bay of Campeche.
It’s destination is the Yucatan Peninsula as it heads east at 5 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center
It’s very slow journey to the Caribbean will means 5-10 inches of rain for the Yucatan, WGNO meteorologist Jeff Robbins said.
Adding some areas could see as much as 15 inches.
Life-threatening flash flooding for affected areas will be the main concern.
