NEW ORLEANS – First responders are on the scene of a building collapse in Central City this morning.
The abandoned building in the 1700 block of Washington Avenue was heavy damaged by Hurricane Zeta yesterday. The extent of the collapse was not evident until the sun rose this morning.
A neighbor said she had tried for years to get the city to demolish the building. She said she’s glad Zeta finally did it for her.
