GRAND ISLE – Things looked wild in Grand Isle as Hurricane Zeta came ashore yesterday.
The high winds pushed water ashore, which was plainly visible in a photo tweeted by the Jefferson Parish Government.
According to the tweet, Grand Isle’s “burrito levee” had major breaches in three places. That’s what allowed the storm surge to get through.
