NEW ORLEANS — The St. Aug Purple Knights defeated the Shaw Eagles, 52-14 Thursday night in the opening round of the Division I playoffs.
The Purple Knights jumped out to a 38-7 lead in the first half and never looked back.
St. Aug advances to the quarterfinal round where they will face top-seeded Catholic of Baton Rouge.
