BATON ROUGE – Even though he’s never started a game in high school football, he could be LSU’s future starting quarterback.

Sophomore to be Walker Howard, son of former LSU quarterback Jamie Howard is LSU’s latest commitment from the class of 2022.

Last season, Howard was a backup at St. Thomas More in Lafayette to Caleb Holstein, who signed with Louisiana Tech. St Thomas More won the Division II state championship.

Howard’s father Jamie played quarterback at LSU from 1992 to 1995.

Howard said it has always been his dream to play for LSU at Tiger Stadium.

Friday, with his commitment, he came one step closer to make that dream reality.
