NEW ORLEANS — The John Curtis Patriots defeated the Holy Cross Tigers, 8-2 Tuesday night in their Catholic League series opener.
The Patriots bats were rolling in the top of the first inning with a 2-RBI triple from Logan O’Neill and an RBI single from Austin Ackel.
Holy Cross would score their only two runs of the game on a two-run home run from Colin Cure but that would be it.
