Time Out! The Saints lead with positive momentum, and LSU returns to the field

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)– The bye week has come and gone for the Saints, and LSU was back on the field after the Gators were too scared to play them last week.

The boys in black and gold must be well rested, because Sunday’s game got off to a strong start.

Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers were down by 21 in just over a minute in to the second quarter.

Drew Brees set another NFL record. This was his 16th, 400 yard game after throwing for 465 yards Sunday afternoon in the Dome.

He connected with Brandin Cooks for an 87 yard touch down pass.

The SEC cancled last week’s game that was schedule to be played in the swamp, do to Hurricane Matthew hitting Florida.

Allegedly LSU offered to hold the game in Baton Rouge but Florida athletic director, Jeremy Foley declined….in the words of hip-hop duo Outkast “if you scared…say you scared.”That game has been moved to november 19th in Baton Rouge

Tigers beat Southern Mississippi in Death Valley Saturday, 45-10.
