It’s National Deep Dish Dish Pizza Day, so we sent News with a Twist Reporter Kenny Lopez to our favorite pizza joint, “That’s Amore”, located at 4441 West Metairie Avenue to find out the difference between New York thin crust pizza, and Chicago deep dish pizza!
Owner, Darren Kennedy told us that the deep dish, “Chicago-style” pizza is a thicker piece of pie, with another layer of crust and sauce, kind of like lasagne. On the other hand, a “New York-style” pizza is a whole lot larger with a thin crust. Either way…”That’s Amore” pizzas are sure made with love!
They just opened up a new second location on St. Charles Avenue.
