Stars Woody Harrelson & James Marsden dance in the streets at New Orleans Film Fest

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)- The  27th annual New Orleans Film Festival kicked off Wednesday night at The Orpheum Theater for the U.S. premiere of “LBJ” starring Woody Harrelson and directed by Rob Reiner.  The movie tells the story of President Lyndon B. Johnson and his rise to the presidency after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

After the premiere, Harrelson joined in the second line parade from The Orpheum Theater to the Palace Cafe, where the opening night party was held.

Harrelson said this was his first second line parade, though he’s no stranger to New Orleans.

He filmed the hit HBO show “True Detective” in Louisiana, and “LBJ” was shot in Hollywood South, too.   Currently, Harrelson and Rob Reiner are working together on another film that’s being shot in New Orleans called “Shock & Awe.”

Harrelson wasn’t the only star who came out to the premiere of “LBJ.”

Actor James Marsden of “Westworld,” the X-men films, “Enchanted” and many others also made an appearance.  Marsden is also shooting “Shock & Awe” with Harrelson and Reiner.

In New Orleans we certainly know how to party, and it looks like Harrelson and Marsden were loving our traditional second line parade!
