Senator Mary Landrieu’s son is accused of driving drunk and hitting a pedestrian in the French Quarter.
New Orleans police say 21-year-old Connor Snellings drove the wrong direction down Bourbon Street around 3:00 a.m. Thursday.
He hit a pedestrian and initially didn’t stop, according to detectives.
They say he had a .211 blood alcohol content.
Senator Landrieu released a statement saying the family loves him unconditionally but is disappointed by his actions.
She also asked the public for privacy.
Last July Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s son was charged with D.W.I.
He’s awaiting trial.
