NEW ORLEANS — One person is dead after a motorcyclist hit two pedestrians.

The New Orleans Police Department said the crash happened before 10 p.m. in the 3900 block of Tchoupitoulas Street near General Taylor Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered three victims, one deceased and two injured.  The initial investigation has revealed that a motorcyclist (male) was heading uptown on Tchoupitoulas when he struck a pedestrian (female) near General Taylor. 

The motorcyclist was ejected from the vehicle; however, the motorcycle continued to move and struck an occupied parked car.  One victim from inside the parked car was injured. 

The motorcyclist died at the scene, and the two injured victims were transported to the hospital by NOEMS.
