NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)- Today is NOLA Gratitude Day, a day that’s all about being thankful for what you have.

The American Heart Association was out at Harrah’s Casino where local motivational speakers offered advice on how to eliminate stress and remain positive in order to have good heart health.

The speakers were: Tiki McIntyre, Brianna Williams, Deepak Saini, Jennifer Rogers, Karol Brandt-Gilmartin, Terrance Osborne, Erin Romney, Veronica Alweiss, Chef Ed Rhinehart, and Sunni Patterson.

Attendees were even asked to write down what they’re thankful for, showing how gratitude and health go hand in hand.

“Gratitude helps with your health because it really lifts your spirit.  It makes you appreciate what is, and then you’re not complaining about what’s not,”  Stephanie Osborne, Gratitude Day chair said.

Artist Terrance Osborne is a huge supporter of the American Heart Association.  One of his paintings called, “Speak NOLA” was raffled off as part of Gratitude Day.
