NEW ORLEANS- A Sunday night accident on I-10 Westbound near S. Galvez St. claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
NOPD says that the single-vehicle crash happened around 9 p.m.
Officers determined that the motorcyclist was traveling on the elevated portion of I-10 West, when for unknown reasons, struck the guardrail and landed on the ground level.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on scene.
Their identity is unknown at this time.
