AUSTIN, TEXAS (WGNO) – Matthew McConaughey will be teaching a film-making class this fall at the University of Texas.

The university announced it Thursday on its Facebook page.

McConaughey, star of the New Orleans-shot “Free State of Jones,” is a frequent visitor of New Orleans. He has expressed his love for the city on more than one occasion.

“Look at New Orleans. Part of me hopes that they don’t fix the potholes,” he said in an interview with Garden and Gun magazine. “In the South, it’s actually built in—you have to take your time. As for the roads in New Orleans, you go too fast, and you’ll burn your lap with coffee and your shocks will be gone. You know what I mean? Just take your time.”
