GRETNA, La. (WGNO) – Hurricane Matthew is to blame for more than just flight cancellations: Members of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band, who were supposed to headline Gretna Fest Saturday night, are stuck in Florida and won’t make the show.

Gretna Heritage Fest organizers said Travis Tritt will perform in their place. He’s set to take the stage at 10 p.m.

Other artists on tap at Gretna Heritage Fest include Mount Holly, Blackberry Smoke, Cowboy Mouth, Amanda Shaw, LeeAnn Rimes, Melissa Ethridge, Flow Tribe and many more.

“We at the Gretna Heritage Festival are very fortunate that Travis Tritt understood the position of fellow musicians in a time of disaster but also stepped up to assist,” organizers said. “Since we have all been there during Hurricanes and natural disasters we ask all patrons to come out and support the Gretna heritage Festival and Travis Tritt for stepping up and assisting our event.”
