NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A food competition featuring some of the finest restaurants in town, a humongous home show in the Superdome and a crawfish festival for the ages are all on the books for this weekend in the Big Easy. Here are Where Y’at’s picks:
- First, Food Fight New Orleans returns to Lafreniere Park Thursday night, March 27, with over 40 chefs and bartenders competing to see who has the best cuisine and spirits in town. Restaurants like Tana, Bayona and others will battle it out in categories including Top Traditional Dish and Top Classic Cocktail.
- Next, looking to remodel or upgrade your home? Then head to the Caesars Superdome March 28 to March 30 for the 68th Annual New Orleans Home & Garden Show. Visit vendors offering different home and garden goods, with ideas on upgrading kitchens, patios, and much more.
- On Sunday, March 30 don’t miss Brews, Boils & Bubbles at the Lakefront for boil masters offering their tasty full-flavor crawfish boils. Restaurants include Buku Seafood, Cajun Flames, and others. Plus there’ll also be games, photo ops, and live music from Flowtribe and Cupid.
- Finally, the Congo Square Rhythms Festival returns to Armstrong Park for a free weekend. March 29-30, of music and culture. This year’s lineup includes the New Breed Brass Band, Erica Falls, and others. Check out the art market and local food vendors as the music radiates throughout the park.
