KENNER, La. (WGNO) — The Kenner Police Department began investigating a traffic fatality early Wednesday morning. According to the Kenner PD, 75-year-old Champaklal Patel of Kenner died from the incident.

Police say it happened just after 6 a.m. near the intersection of Williams Boulevard and Veterans Boulevard. Through investigation, detectives determined that the incident took place in the 2800 block of Williams Boulevard northbound.

According to the Kenner PD, the driver of the vehicle was identified as 22-year-old Erik Rodriguez-Morales who was found not to be at fault. Although he wasn’t found to be at fault he was arrested for driving without a license.
