KENNER, La. (WGNO) — Traffic is moving once again after officials cleared the interstate of obstructions caused by a disabled tractor-trailer in Kenner Wednesday afternoon.

Traffic officials say an 18-wheeler lost its load of heavy material near the Williams onramp. Drivers were advised to avoid the area and to take Airline Highway as an alternate route while the cleanup was in progress.

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development cameras showed the slow-flowing traffic along with authorities on the scene attempting to remove the obstruction from the roadway.

The road is officially clear of all material and drivers are able to access the interstate once again.
