WESTWEGO, La. (WGNO) – Meet Avery Lynn and Andre Jerome. The two bundles of joy may be the first set of twins born in the Crescent City in 2015.
The duo came into the world early Thursday morning. Avery was born at 6:04 a.m. and Andre at 6:19 a.m. Both came into the world at Ochsner Medical Center on the West Bank.
“I’m blessed,” says mother Rolynn.
Rolynn is understandably exhausted but eager to show off her babies who came into like a whirlwind. The two are already showing those around them that they’ll be doing things their way!
“This is my first set of twins. I was able to push Avery out, but I had to get a C-section on Andre,” explains Rolynn, “You’re going to have to excuse me because I’m just all over the place right now.”
“The girl was no problem. She came on out, and the boy he kind of flipped and went back. He wasn’t ready, but they went on and got him out anyway,” explains grandmother Jada Thomas.
Both babies were born weighing in at 6lbs, 12oz. They two are a team from the start that’ll join the rest of their Westwego family soon. For now, they’ll spend the first day of 2015 getting to know the world from a different perspective as mom recovers from a delivery that she says was anything, but ordinary.
