LAKE CHARLES, La. — For the first time since taking office, the President of the United States made his way to Louisiana. The President visited as part of his “Getting America Back on Track” tour to amplify the American Jobs Plan.

President Biden first spoke in Lake Charles.

After his visit to Lake Charles, President Biden and his motorcade visited the Carrollton Water Plant, in New Orleans.

Upon his New Orleans arrival, the President was greeted by Senator Bill Cassidy, Senator John Kennedy, Mayor of New Orleans LaToya Cantrell, and Congressman-elect Troy Carter.

President Biden stood with Ghassan Korban, Executive Director, Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, and gave remarks. They then began the tour of the facility.
