SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) – We think Winnie the Pooh and this raccoon should be friends. St. Tammany deputies discovered him Monday night with his head stuck inside a peanut butter jar.

Authorities say they received a call to a home in the 34000 block of Tupelo Lane in Slidell. It was in reference to a distressed raccoon. When they got there, they noticed that he had a peanut butter jar stuck on his head.

Through a combined effort, Sergeant Trinity Graves, Deputy Ryan Eberts, and Deputy Roger Gottardi helped the little fella and removed the jar.

The raccoon scampered off into the night thankful for the deputies’ efforts!
