METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) – At the young age of 10, the powerhouse vocalist, Faith Becnel, got her start at none other than a school talent show. From there, Faith began performing in the band, The Rowdy Rough Boys (& a girl).

And that was the spark that ignited her career.

At the age of 12, she recorded her first CD, and at 13 she formed her own band, Faith in the Music and auditioned for America’s got Talent.

During the audition process, Faith made it to the top 70 of 1500 acts, where she was given a producer’s audition.

Faith is inspired by singers, Etta James, and Christina Aguilera. All of which can be spotted in her powerful vocals.

Faith has since performed with many of Louisiana’s greatest performing artists; Irma Thomas, Rockin’ Dopsie, Benny Grunch and the Bunch, Judy Spellman, and much more.
