HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. (WGNO) – NASA’s journey to Mars began right here on the Gulf Coast. On Thursday, rocket scientists at NASA’s Stennis Space Center – the largest rocket test facility in the United States – revved up the Aerojet Rocketdyne RS-25 rocket engine. And it was a success!

The successful static test firing means we’re one step closer to future space explorations.
