NEW ORLEANS — Wintry weather with possible snow accumulation on the North Shore and coastal Mississippi has prompted several school and government closures.

Here’s the list:

-St. Tammany Parish public schools

-St. Tammany Parish Government

-St. John the Baptist Parish public schools

-Tangipahoa Parish public schools

-Lake Castle Slidell Private School

-Nicholls State University closing at 12:30 p.m. Friday, December 8. Friday exams affected by the weather will be rescheduled for later next week. Regular exam schedule will resume on Monday, Dec. 11.

-Thibodaux government offices to close at noon Friday, December 8.
