UPDATE: On Tuesday evening, Louisiana State Police announced that Jose Mulleady was found safe and the Silver Alert has been canceled.


METAIRIE, La. (BRPROUD)— Police across Louisiana are searching for Jose Mulleady, an elderly man who was last seen around 6:45 p.m. on Monday.

According to Louisiana State Police, Mulleady went missing from a location on Whitney Place. LSP is asking for the public’s help in locating a 2016 Silver Honda Civic with Louisiana license plates reading ZWX826.

That’s the vehicle in which Mulleady is likely traveling on Tuesday. LSP says the car was last seen headed in the direction of Orleans Parish.

Mulleady is described as:

  • A White male with thin gray hair and green eyes
  • Approximately 5’8” tall
  • Weighs about 220 pounds.
  • Suffers from Alzheimer’s

LSP says that Mulleady “has a history of getting lost and confused while operating his vehicle.”
