PARADIS, La. (WGNO) — On Saturday (Nov. 26th) a tornado swept through Jefferson and St. Charles parishes, leaving behind a series of damaged properties and power outages.

Around 2:00 p.m. east of Hwy 90 near Bayou Gauche Road, a tornado with a windspeed of 100 mph went through residential areas, causing structural damage.

Most of the residents affected in that area were recovering from Louisiana’s most recent hurricane, Hurricane Ida. Notably, there were still blue tarps present on some houses.

According to investigators, they noticed a house and a carport with a roof peeling off as well as the flipping over of an RV.

Extensive tree damage was noted around properties and to the northwest from a significant distance, debris lay present throughout the area.
