LOUISIANA (WGNO) – Taylor Swift is reportedly donating $1 million to disaster relief efforts in Louisiana.

According to CNN the 26-year-old pop star says Louisiana “graciously welcomed her” last year when she kicked off her 1989 World Tour.

“The wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home,” Swift said in a prepared statement. “The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking. I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time.”

Ten people have died in four parishes, and at least 40,000 homes were damaged in the historic, devastating floods.
