NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – An armed man jumped out of the bushes with a gun in the Bayou St. John neighborhood this afternoon, causing a local man to run for his life.
The incident happened around 1 p.m. this afternoon, according to the NOPD.
As the unidentified victim was parking his car in the 2800 block of St. Phillip Street, he spotted a man dressed in all black with red lettering on his cap.
The man crouched between some bushes, waited for the victim to get out of his car, and charged him while brandishing a handgun.
According to the NOPD, the victim ran inside and immediately dialed 911. The armed man was captured on surveillance video.
