NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department began investigating a shooting in the 3000 block of Eagle Street.
According to investigators, Second District officers responded to a call of an Aggravated Battery by Shooting around 7:30 p.m.
When police arrived at the location they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his body.
NOPD said EMS transported the victim to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
There is no further information at this time.
