MANDEVILLE, La. (WGNO)  Police have found no evidence of a threat made against Mandeville High School. On Friday, police received word of a rumored threat of violence.

Mandeville detectives say they detained a student for some time, and they interviewed several students in an attempt to determine the root of the rumored allegations. Authorties say no one could possess direct knowledge of any threat and physical evidence like videos or text messages could not be found.

The student was then released and no charges were filed.

The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office Cyber Investigation Unit assisted in the investigation.
