KENNER, La. (WGNO) – Two people have been charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Raising Cane’s manager, Kenner Police Chief Michael Glaser confirmed. A third suspect is in custody and police are searching for a fourth suspect, who they believe is a woman.

Joshua Every, 23, has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, aggravated burglary, armed robbery and aggravated assault. Every is a former Raising Cane’s employee.

Mark Crocklen Jr, 24, has been charged with first-degree murder, criminal conspiracy, and armed robbery. He told authorities he was the getaway driver.

Glaser said a third suspect is currently in custody and he expected charges to be filed sometime later on Thursday.

Early Wednesday morning, 21-year-old Taylor Friloux was stabbed at the Raising Cane’s on Williams Boulevard in Kenner.

Kenner police say Friloux and several employees were throwing garbage away about 1:25 a.m. Wednesday when Every and another man approached them, stripped the employees of their cell phones and forced them back into the closed restaurant at knife point. Friloux, who was the shift manager on duty, initially resisted unlocking the door. One of the men then stabbed her. Once inside, they stole approximately $1,000 from the safe.

Authorities say as the suspects were fleeing the Cane’s, Friloux collapsed. At that time, police say one suspect stood over Friloux and repeatedly stabbed her.

Every and another man then ran into a waiting vehicle driven by Crocklen.

Every surrendered to police on Wednesday.

Crocklen admitted to Kenner police, that the robbery was planned, but the murder was not.

Authorities have reason to believe two additional people took part in the robbery. Kenner police are still identifying the fourth person who they say is a woman.

Two accounts have been set up to help cover funeral costs for Taylor Friloux. You can find the links here and here.

Anyone with information on the female is asked to contact Kenner Police Detective Brad Ricke at (504) 712- 2214 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
