NEW ORLEANS, LA (WGNO) — Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder is accustomed to being in the spotlight, but he’s been spending more time working behind the camera as well.
Somerhalder recently took on a new role, directing Friday’s episode of TVD, which airs at 8:00 pm Central on The CW-NOLA 38. It’s only his second stint behind the camera.
Somerhalder told us the cast and crew work together as a real team and support the new endeavor.
He told WGNO, he’ll be watching the episode live along with them and looks forward to their reaction.
He also said, there’s a lot of his personality in his directorial perspective.
When he’s not acting and directing, Somerhalder says he often thinks about coming home to Louisiana, taking a bike ride on the Tammany Trace and grabbing a glass of Abita!
