April 14, 6:00 p.m. Update:

Due to continued flooding in the area, Grand Isle School will be closed Thursday, April 15. All school activities and events are cancelled. Depending on the situation tomorrow, the district may make additional adjustments for the remainder of the week. 

All other Jefferson Parish Schools will remain open at this time. 

JP Schools will continue to use district email and text messages to communicate the latest information directly to families and employees.

HARVEY, La. — Severe weather on Tuesday has left Grand Isle without power.

The damage caused as left Jefferson Parish Schools no other option other than to close Grand Isle School on Wednesday, April 14. All school activities and events are cancelled.

Depending on when power is restored in Grand Isle, the district may make additional adjustments.

All other Jefferson Parish Schools will remain open at this time.
