PLAQUEMINES PARISH, La. (WGNO) – A former Belle Chasse High teacher and baseball coach has been arrested for computer-aided solicitation of a minor.

Lane Christian Pace, 24, of Zachary, was arrested Monday, October 24 by Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives.

The PPSO started investigating on October 13, after being notified by the Plaquemines Parish School Board of a possible inappropriate relationship between Pace and a 17-year-old female student.

According to the PPSO, the relationship started when the student was about 15 years-old, and Pace was a teacher and coach at Belle Chasse High School.

Pace was released from custody on October 24 on a $50,000 bond.

The investigation is on-going and additional charges may be filed.
