NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – A popular New Orleans Irish pub is under new ownership.
Finn McCool’s on Banks Street has been passed on to Irishman and Finn’s regular Sean Kennedy, along with Anthony Macaluso, the former Finn McCool’s owners said on the bar’s Facebook page.
Former owners Stephen and Pauline Patterson, originally from Ireland, said on Facebook that they came to New Orleans for the first time 26 years ago while on a trip around the world.
“Instead of just visiting, New Orleans became our home,” they said.
They’ve been the owners of Finn McCool’s for the past 14 years.
“While we will not be involved in the day-to-day operations we will remain as consultants to help them transition,” the couple said. “Finn’s will always be Finn’s.”
