NEW ORLEANS, La (WGNO)–  Sentencing for former New Orleans Saints player Darren Sharper has been delayed until October 1 for federal drug charges related to rape cases in New Orleans.

Sharper was originally due in federal court August 20. But his sentencing was delayed 45 days due to probation officials not receiving reports from other states.  The federal delay will hold up sentencing for other cases.
