AMITE, La. (WGNO) – As many as 65 people will be laid off at Bradken foundry facility in Amite.

The state’s Workforce Development office released “WARN” notices from three Louisiana businesses today.

Layoffs at Bradken will began Oct. 26 and continue at different times based on product flow.

Three Louisiana employers have issued Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications (WARNs) announcing mass layoffs or plant closures.

Anyone affected by the plant closures or mass layoffs is encouraged to visit a local Business and Career Solutions Center.

Trinity Marine Products, Inc. also announced the permanent closure of its plant in Brusly in West Baton Rouge Parish, affecting 288 employees. Layoffs are scheduled to begin Oct. 31 and end on December 9.

ProActive Technologies, Inc. announced a mass layoff at its B52 contract location in Barksdale, affecting 51 employees beginning Oct. 31. The employer expects a majority of the workers to be re-hired by a new contractor.
