NEW ORLEANS – Police are investigating a shooting in New Orleans East that sent four people to the hospital.

The NOPD says a 22-year-old man, a 22-year-old woman, a seven-year-old girl, and a five-year-old girl were shot around 1 a.m. Thursday in the 7000 block of Bullard Avenue.

The four victims were inside a vehicle at the time of the shooting, along with an infant who was not injured.

The two girls were each shot in the leg and treated for their injuries at a local hospital.

The adults who were shot are currently listed in stable condition, according to the NOPD.

The woman hopped out of the vehicle and ran to a nearby gas station for help after the shooting, while the man drove the two children back to his house.

The vehicle believed to have been used by the suspects was found burned at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Marconi Avenue.

Police haven’t said what led up to the shooting.
