15-year-old booked in connection with double homicide

NATALBANY, La. (WGNO) – A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with a double shooting in Tangipahoa Parish that left two people dead.

According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, the juvenile was arrested last night on two counts of first-degree murder for his alleged role in the shooting deaths of 24-year-old Charleston Mitchell and 31-year-old Randy Bickham.

Neighbors on Haynes Lane heard gunshots and called for help about 3:45 a.m. June 2. Mitchell and Bickham were found dead inside a car on the side of the road.

About 24 hours later, the body of 18-year-old Marquise Lightfoot was found in a nearby yard on Jimmy Drive.

Deputies said at the time that the three deaths were connected. The sheriff’s office said today that deputies are still working to identify the suspect in Lightfoot’s death.

The sheriff’s office is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons who killed Lightfoot.

Another $5,000 reward is being offered for additional arrests and convictions in connection with the double homicide.
