Frozen control valve at water tower sparks boil water advisory for Folsom

UPDATE 12/29/22: On Thursday morning, officials with the Village of Folsom lifted a Boil Water Advisory issued on Christmas morning. Residents may consume their water without disinfecting it first.

FOLSOM, La. (WGNO) — The entire village of Folsom is under a boil water advisory after a control valve became frozen at the water tower.

Officials say because of that, water’s microbiological quality could be questionable.

It is recommended Folsom residents disinfect their water before using it.
