NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery that happened a few minutes before 3:00 Monday afternoon.

The robbery happened at the First Bank and Trust located at 909 Poydras St.

The FBI says the robber handed the teller a note demanding money and left with an undetermined amount of cash.

According to a spokesperson for the NOPD the robber is a black man, 5’10”, with a medium build and light complexion.  He was wearing a blue baseball cap, blue long sleeve shirt and khaki pants.

Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111 or the FBI at 504-816-3000.  There’s a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the robber.
