Every Halloween, Ellen DeGeneres sends her show employees through haunted houses and it’s always hilarious to watch. For 2015, Ellen dispathced “Modern Family” actor Eric Stonestreet with executive producer Andy Lassner and the results are even better than could be predicted.
They start off pretty chill, not getting too scared — but the beheading room is a total game-changer. Both men completely freak out as (presumably) fake blood sprays on them and then someone comes bursting out of a nearby wall.

At one point, they actually see a chainsaw-wielding madman coming and they still scream. Then near the end, they start pushing each other for which guy has to walk closer to the monsters. Every man for himself, apparently.
The big zombie finale tricks them with some animatronics. “The whole room came aliiiiive!” yells Stonestreet as they try to find the exit. The expletive-filled panicky screams are really what make the video so utterly delightful.
Happy Halloween from “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
Catch Stonestreet and the whole “Modern Family” cast Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
