NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The documentary, “Big Charity” is receiving big attention!
It made it’s premiere at the New Orleans Film Festival last month and sold-out. Because of it’s popularity, there will be two encore screenings.
The film is about Charity Hospital and its controversial closing in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
The film won both the Jury Award and Audience Award for Louisiana Feature at this year’s New Orleans Film Festival.
The screenings will be held at the Joy Theater at 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
