NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Jack Reacher: Never Go Back premiered Sunday night at the AMC in Elmwood. News With a Twist sat down with Lee Child, the author of the popular Jack Reacher books the movie series is based on, to get his take on filming in New Orleans.

For Lee Child, the decision to shoot in the Big Easy came down to one simple factor – “We needed a good looking city!”

While shooting in New Orleans, Child quickly figured out what his favorite restaurants were, with Commander’s Palace and The Crystal Room at Le Pavillon Hotel topping his list of favorites in the city.

Child also has something new for his fans – a new book he’s written is coming to the U.S. on November 7th called “Jack Reacher: Night School.”
