Jefferson Parish – Catherine Strehle Elementary School in Avondale will be closed Monday, Nov. 13, due to a fire.
According to a statement from the Jefferson Parish Public School System, the fire was in the school’s main electrical panel.
Officials say they’re evaluating the situation and will announce further closures beyond Monday if necessary.
