BATON ROUGE (WGNO) – Former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards has been admitted to a Baton Rouge hospital.
WBRZ reports Edwards is receiving treatment for pneumonia, a condition that the 89-year-old Edwards suffers from on a regular basis, according to the station.
Edwards was admitted for pneumonia around this time last year, attributing that bout with the illness to Thanksgiving travel and November 2015 campaign events, WBRZ reports.
