NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Early voting for the 2016 Presidential election begins Oct. 25 and runs through November 1.

Any registered voter in the state of Louisiana can cast an early vote for the November 8 Presidential election at the Registrar of Voters Office or at designated locations any day except Sunday and holidays.

As the Louisiana Secretary of State website points out, early voting isn’t reserved merely for those who will be out of town or otherwise unable to vote on election day.

“You do not need a reason to vote early!” the website proclaims.
