(WGNO) – Besides the TV show and a wine business the Robertson Family is again spreading their wings, so to speak. Their business, Duck Commander is getting involved in college football.
Officials announced Wednesday in Shreveport that the Duck Dynasty team will sponsor the “Duck Commander Independence Bowl.” The game has been held in Shreveport since 1976.
The Duck Commander’s sponsorship runs through 2019.

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal is expected to present the Inaugural Governor’s Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence to Duck Commander and the Robertson Family this afternoon in West Monroe.
