Wendy and MeNEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The NOPD says that two paintings stolen from the Rodrigue Gallery on Royal Street were recovered several blocks away, leaning against the wall of a hotel.

Investigators say that several men walking in the area around 11:50 p.m., saw the painting titled “Wendy and Me” leaning against the wall of the Omni Royal Hotel at the corner of St. Louis and Royal Streets.

The men brought the paintings to the 8th District Police Station and they were returned to the Rodrigue family, who expressed their gratitude for the paintings’ recovery!
