NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – State Police has arrested two illegal aliens for running an illegal brothel and unlicensed bar on North Claiborne.

According to State Police, the investigation began in August, when detectives got tips from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office about drug distribution.

Investigators learned that Roxana Flores-Rodriguez, 39, of El Salvador, and 36-year-old Jose Jaimes-Meza of Mexico were running a brothel and unlicensed bar at 2523 N. Claiborne Ave.

Police searched the residence in August and found one Hispanic sex worker, along with evidence indicating that the brothel had been operating since at least May 2015. It serviced the Hispanic community, police said.

Detectives believe at least 10 other sex workers were rotated in and out of the brothel.

U.S. Marshals arrested Flores-Rodriguez and Jaimes-Meza Tuesday in Metairie.

They were booked into the Orleans Parish Jail on charges of promoting prostitution, pandering, money laundering and operation of places of prostitution.
